I’m taking a limited number of students for lessons in recording, production and publishing. Learn how to engineer and deliver recordings of yourself, or produce, edit, mix and master professional-sounding, release-ready tracks on your own. We can cover techniques for working at home using minimal equipment (whatever you already have), or for working in a professional studio. I can teach you Pro Tools, Ableton, Logic, GarageBand, or any other software you want to learn.

I can also help with your publishing, recording agreements, and distribution questions. We can cover the fundamentals through professional-level concepts, addressing legal considerations and the specifics of licensing agreements, including case studies from my own experience in the industry. I can show you how to deliver your finished tracks to Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, etc, publish your own music, or to develop a relationship with a label and / or publisher. I have worked in both pop and classical publishing. We can discuss the differences between the two and focus on the one that's most relevant to you.

For beginners, I will teach the fundamentals so you have a solid foundation and learn all the skills and concept necessary to help you be your best. For professionals, I will teach high-level skills and techniques, and will act as a producer, consultant and even accountability partner to unlock your potential and remove any roadblocks that have developed over the years.

Lessons can be via Zoom, Skype, FaceTime, or in person in Nashville, TN. All ages and skill levels are welcome.

I’ve worked with artists from pop to classical, including twenty one pilots, Shania Twain, David Lang, John Zorn, Zeena Parkins, Kim Gordon (Sonic Youth), So Percussion, Alarm Will Sound, International Contemporary Ensemble, yMusic, Shakira, Lin-Manuel Miranda, The Band Perry, Chris Thile, Lake Street Dive, Gil Scott-Heron / Jaime xx, Brittany Howard, Rag’n’Bone Man, My Brightest Diamond, and on film and TV projects, commercials, and podcasts.

I own and run a publishing company/record label called Good Child Music that releases and publishes a wide range of music, from classical to pop to library content for film and TV.

I am excited to share my experience with those who want to learn and be their best.
